Now you can protect you orkut and gmail account by linking yours mobile number with google account , This will help you in retrieving yours orkut password via text message with a password-reset code on your mobile phone .
To enable this feature in your mobile phone go to password recovery options page and click add a mobile phone number, select country and enter your mobile number and select Use this phone number for password recovery via text messageand you are done.
In future you can use your mobile number to retrive your password from password-assistance page .
